Privacy Matters

Privacy and information security is very important at Wetaskiwin Regional Public Schools.  All students have a Google Workspace for Education account which gives them access to Google core services,  Gmail, Calendar, Classroom, Assignments, Contacts, Drive, Docs, Forms, Groups, Sheets, Sites, Slides, Chat, Meet, Vault, and Chrome Sync 

and Google additional services, Google Search, Maps, and YouTube.

"Google Workspace for Education administrators determine which Google services their users can access, and are required to provide or obtain consent for the use of the services by their minor users.

When a school obtains appropriate consent, Additional Services that allow it, such as YouTube, Maps, and Blogger, can be used without age restrictions by Google Workspace for Education users.

The Google Workspace for Education Privacy Notice is meant to help Google Workspace for Education users and parents understand what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it." 

WRPS Technology Responsible Use Agreement is signed by parents and students at the start of every school year to ensure awareness of safety rules and guidelines when using technology for learning.
