Parents

Parents and community members are the public in public education.  With increasingly limited education dollars and the increased expectations of post-secondary institutes and employers, school divisions, parents and community members must work together to help students succeed.

We believe that parents are a child's first and most important teacher, and look to our parents for guidance on how we can help students realize their potential.

Parents as Partners

Our Parents as Partners document emphasizes the critical role parents play in their children's education. It outlines resources available to support family well-being, encourages active parental involvement through volunteering and attending school events, and promotes communication between parents and schools. The document reaffirms WRPS's commitment to maintaining an inclusive, collaborative environment where parents are considered essential partners in shaping educational success.
