Students in grades K-8 in most WRPS schools are using Mathletics as an online Math program to support teacher led instruction.  Mathletics is a highly engaging tool for students to practice Math.   "By blending intrinsic and extrinsic motivations and rewards, and using best-practice theories of gamified learning, Mathletics keeps students engaged with math. With fresh activities, challenges and regularly updated content, Mathletics always has something new to learn and fun to do."

IXL is an online adaptive Math program that WRPS teachers use to differentiate and customize Math practice for students in grades 7-12.  Students can also log in at home for extra-practice.

*Please note:  WRPS has NOT purchased the LA portion of the IXL software license -only the Math portion is available for WRPS teachers and students.

Online reading program

WRPS Teachers in grades 1-6 have the option to use RAZ kids, an online reading program, to support their teacher led classroom instruction.

 Covers everything from letters and sounds to reading full sentences.

 Computer version is 100% free.

 

SeeSaw is a digital portfolio online program that creates " a powerful loop between students, teachers, and families".  Students demonstrate their thinking and learning via video and audio recordings as well as capturing images.  SeeSaw will be used in Early Ed and Kindergarten as well as in other WRPS classes in 2021/22.

Screencastify is a chrome browser extension that allows teachers to record lessons and save them in Google Drive or post to Google Classrooms.  Teachers can access the FREE version of Screencastify to create videos 5 min long or less and to record longer videos should contact the Ed Tech department.
