All of our elementary schools provide a kindergarten program for children who are five years of age on or before the last day of December in the year in which they are registering.  For contact information refer to the Our Schools section of the website.

Children must be five years of age by the last day of December in the year they wish to register for Kindergarten (birth certificate is required at registration).

Kindergarten programming promotes child development in early literacy, early numeracy, and citizenship and identifies personal and social responsibility; physical skills; creative expression; and community and environmental awareness. 

Alberta Education - Kindergarten at a Glance

Transportation is provided to Kindergarten students who attend their designated school and live more than 2.4 km away from this school.  For more information regarding student transportation see Board Policy 16: Student Transportation or call the Transportation Department at 780.352.6018.

Wetaskiwin Regional Public Schools provides programming for students with special needs who may require early intervention.
