WRPS is pleased to announce that effective September 2021, our Early Education program (currently at Lynn Lauren School) serving our Pre-Kindergarten students will be moving to Queen Elizabeth School. We are very excited to be able to join two vibrant school communities together and enhance programming opportunities for our students and families. Moving the program there will allow for greater student opportunities, efficiencies in staffing, and fiscal sustainability.
In the coming weeks, the administrators of Queen Elizabeth will be meeting with the Early Education Program staff to discuss the move and begin to make plans for September. Queen Elizabeth School is currently a Grades K-8 school.
Moving the program meets the board's priorities to align resources, emphasize early childhood learning, and encourage active citizenship in our school communities.
Ms. Wanda Fonteyne, Director of Learning Supports, will be working closely with the process to ensure there is a smooth transition.
