Christmas at Griffiths-Scott School

Our Griffins have learned that the true meaning of Christmas is about giving and helping others. This year our Christmas Giving Project was in support of the Millet Food Bank. Through the generosity of our  families we gathered 315 pounds of food and $1988 in cash donations for the Food Bank. Thank you to our Griffin families and to the community of Millet for their support! The annual Christmas Giving Project has been part of Millet School and GSS for over 20 years.

We would also like to thank our GS Parent Advisory Committee for organizing our annual Christmas Dinner which took place on Friday, Dec. 16.  The whole school gathered in the gym for a delicious turkey dinner which was donated, prepared and served by our parent volunteers. A special thank you to Christine and Dan Sych for their leadership and hard work to make this dinner possible.  They make it look easy to feed over 300 people all at once during a lunch hour! Thank you also to our grade 7 and 8 classes for their help to set up and clean up for the dinner.

The spirit of Christmas and the spirit of community are always alive at GSS!
