ASBA partnered with the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) to bring HEADSTRONG to students from across the province for a two day Provincial Youth Mental Health Summit in Red Deer Alberta on June 3-4, 2019.

HEADSTRONG is Canada’s only national evidence-based mental health youth leadership program and is an initiative of the MHCC. Launched in 2014 to inspire youth people aged 12 and up to become leaders and mentors for their schools and communities with the goal to reduce stigma and encourage an open supportive environment where youth feel able to Be Brave, Reach Out and Speak Up for mental health.

Representing WRPS were Emily Gosselin, from Pigeon Lake Regional School and Mackenzie Dooper, from Buck Mountain Central School.
