Winter Family Fun Night at Griffiths Scott School

On November 29, 2022, a Winter Family Fun Night was hosted at Griffiths Scott School. This event was put on by many community partners, including the Millet and District Museum, Millet Public Library, Alberta Health Services, SMILES Non-Profit Society, and the WRPS Wellness Support Team. Attendees were able to participate in the following:

  • Fitness Class and Nutrition Coaching, facilitated by Susie Meyers (SMASH Fitness)
  • Yoga Class and Meditation/Journaling, facilitated by Amy Phelps (Lotus Massage and Wellness)
  • Snowman Craft and Donut Card making, facilitated by Jill Simms (the Millet Library)
  • Christmas Painting and Winter Hat ornament making, facilitated by the WRPS Wellness Support Team

Students and their families were also treated to a delicious dinner from Beef'd Sandwich Bar, and had a chance to win multiple door prize raffles courtesy of SMILES Non-Profit Society and their grant through the Rural Mental Health Network!

Overall we had 82 people brave the cold and join us at the school. We hope families enjoyed a fantastic evening and thank our local Millet businesses for donating their time and expertise to help us host such a great evening!
