Winfield School Makes Connections with Community Members

Winfield students make connections in their community by visiting the local lodge several times a year. The students entertain the residents by singing a few songs. They are always well received.

Police officers visited the school and shared candy with the students.

Winfield school also invited a family from Finland, staying nearby, to attend their Halloween pancake breakfast and The Three Hat Circus events. The Finnish school aged children spent a day in classrooms making connections with Canadian students. Some communication took place using Google Translate, otherwise the students worked well together to figure things out.
