Walk for Reconciliation

On September 29, 2021, both WCHS and Wetaskiwin Outreach students "Walked for Reconciliation".

The purpose of the walk was to acknowledge the experiences and loss of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit children who were placed in residential and day schools. The walk provided a safe and caring space for our students and staff to connect and learn from each other, share stories, and create new relationships. These relationships allow us to move forward together in peace, understanding that it will take our continued effort to create change and knowing that we are not alone.

We all see a better future when we come together.
