The Student Leadership Conference was planned and lead by the staff and students at Falun Elementary School.
This was our 7th annual SLIC conference. The focus of the day was Leading by Example. The students and staff certainly lead by example. The students were engaged in Elder teachings, Indigenous games and art.
The day was supported by the Falun team, Mental Health Capacity Building Team, Elder Lorraine White, Elder Ken White, and Gloria Stoney and Darrin Park for the Terry Fox Foundation as the Inspirational Speaker.
The students and staff did an outstanding job and have received positive feedback on the impact of the day.
