STEAM Camp @ Lakedell School

On Nov. 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, Lakedell School’s grade 5/6 class, had a STEAM Camp presented to them (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics).

"I think the STEAM Camp was terrific because the whole class was able to construct things like race tracks with Ozobots."  stated McKenzie Morrison

Ozobots are small robots that you can code with different colours, because they read the colours and it tells them to do different things like go faster or slower or you can also tell it to dance.

We participated in the STEAM Camp so we could learn more about Engineering, Electronics, Robotics, and some Coding.  We watched some cool videos about robots and how they are coded.  We also worked with the LittleBits kit, where we made things like arms that actually moved and other things like that.

On Nov. 23rd we presented our inventions that we made to the whole school.  In my mind the STEAM Camp was wonderful.  I learned a lot and had a lot of fun in STEAM Camp.
