RCMP Bullying Prevention Presentation at Pipestone School

As Pipestone School works to maintain and improve its welcoming, caring and safe school goal, Constable Matthew Slipp, the School Resource officer for WRPS Schools, recently gave a presentation to the grade five and six students at Pipestone School on bullying prevention.

Staff and students were encouraged to learn where to turn when dealing with bullying or to intervene:

  • access the Bullying Helpline (1-888-456-2323) anonymously that is available 24/7 in over 170 languages
  • access the Bullying Helpline Chat anonymously 24/7
  • start a discussion with your friends, family or coworkers about how to intervene
  • write a letter or email to the editor of your local newspaper or radio station about the importance of promoting healthy relationships

As one of many trusted sources in our community, the RCMP plays a role in sharing the message of Bully-Prevention.

Note: The photo of Const. Slipp is from pre-pandemic times as a photo on the day of Const. Slipp's visit was not available.
