On June 2nd, Pipestone School hosted the annual Central Region Elementary Schools Track Meet. Almost 300 students from Pipestone, Falun and Lakedell Schools had a great day of active living, fair play and friendly competition. Students participated in a variety of track and field activities including high jump, sprints, medicine ball throw, long jump, Frisbee throw, soccer and tug of war.
The day also included a concession that was run by a group of volunteer parents from Pipestone School, adding to the enjoyment and festive nature of the day.
Even though a summer storm ended things a little early, the day was a wonderful success thanks to energetic students, terrific staff, awesome volunteers and all the spectators who cheered the kids on.
