Pigeon Lake Regional School Provincials

The PLRS Senior Boys Volleyball Team attended the 2017 ASAA 2A Provincials in Taber, AB (St. Mary’s High School). It was our second trip to provincials in consecutive years, and again represented the zone as a wildcard entry. The boys had a memorable weekend that will not be forgotten. Although the team failed to make the playoff draw, the Panthers battled hard against the province's best with very respectable results and demonstrated a high level of competition. The boys also captured the ASAA 2A Sportsmanship banner and plaque chosen by the tournament committee from the 12 teams that were at the event.

The boys came a very long way in a short three month period - both on and off the court. Being recognized for their sportsmanship at the provincial level is something the team should be very proud of.  The team wishes Grade 12 students Levi Peters, Blair Radzick, Ty Harink, and Dallas Cummings all the best in their future volleyball endeavors and beyond. Well done, Panthers!
