Lakedell School students were lucky to have DiscoverE visit the school. This service provided by the University of Alberta and sponsored financially by our Lakedell School Council/Lakedell Parents Fundraising Committee.
DiscoverE brought three University students to the school for a day, and they conducted workshops with each of the classes on a variety of science topics including building machines, flight, small crawling and flying animals, and simple machines.
Students and teachers loved the sessions by DiscoverE.
This is an excellent example of how the fundraising undertaken throughout the school year has a direct impact on students and learning.
