Buck Mountain Central school is 1 of 164 schools across Alberta involved in moving forward with High School Redesign. High School Redesign is about more than changing a time table it is about changing mindsets. It’s also about increasing student achievement and giving every student the best learning opportunities.
Buck Mountain Central School has not only changed its time table to include 30 minutes of flex time every day, but also built in teacher advisory groups and credit recovery.
The creation of these flexible learning environments is allowing the students at Buck Mountain to have increased support and engagement in learning. During flex time students engage in collaborative activities, reteaching and enrichment experiences.
