Gwynne School - Future Scientists at Work!

All students at Gwynne School were engaged, excited and energized when University of Alberta students came down to teach them a variety of Science concepts.

Gwynne School hosted Andy and Sarah from DiscoverE. The DiscoverE program, developed by the University of Alberta, travels to schools across Alberta bringing Science to life for students. Their goal is to encourage more students to consider engineering and other scientific fields of study.

Students at Gwynne were treated to a variety of hands on experiments, amazing demonstrations and lessons on the importance of lab safety. Students were so impressed with the experience that they were still talking the next day about the experiments they got to complete in fields of chemistry, microelectronics, heat and temperature, and structures and design.

Gwynne School is encouraging  Alberta’s  future scientists!
