Centennial school has made “Having a Growth Mindset” a focus this past month leading into end of the year assessments. Each class completed lessons on growth mindset in health. They celebrated learning with an assembly of NED’s Mindset Mission. Paul Zelhart demonstrated phenomenal yo-yo skills, in addition to his valuable message. The students learned that growth mindset can be summed up in the acronym of Ned’s name:
N: Never give up.
E:Encourage others.
D: Do your best.
His presentation was high energy and engaging for all students while full of great tips for developing resilience and a positive outlook, regarding mindset. Students have continued to support this mission by purchasing yo-yo’s at the office to pay it forward, so that other schools can experience this presentation at no cost.
