Dreams Take Flight to Disneyland

Two Wetaskiwin Composite High School (WCHS) students, Wyatt and Bre Humphrey and a WCHS Educational Assistant, Doreen Felske took a “Dreams Take Flight” trip to Disneyland on Wednesday, September 30th.

It’s a day that’s been more than a year in the planning – countless volunteer hours and generous donations were pulled together to make this event happen.

Each year, in partnership with Air Canada, Dreams Take Flight chapters across Canada select deserving children with physical, mental or social disadvantages to visit Disneyland for one magical day.  Although the aircraft is donated and the flight crew donate their time, there are still a number of expenses that need to be funded.  Fundraising paid for expenses such as fuel for the plane, admission to the park, clothing, photo books and souvenirs for each child.

What an exciting and magical day for these two students!
