Grizzly Ultra

The Grizzly Canmore Ultra Marathon and Relay is one of Canada’s largest and most popular Ultra’s.

An impressive effort was made by current and alumni students from Buck Mountain Central School!

Cameron Johnson completed the Ultra (50 Km) SOLO! He took first in his age category. Cameron reported that this was the hardest thing he has ever done.

BMC had two alumni students team up with two current students to run as teams of two. Bailey Harden ran with Wylie Pietsch (Alumni) and Cole Dooper ran with Leah Reid (Alumni). Cole and Leah were so fast they finished before the teams of five. They flew through their race!

Paige Fries, Mackenzie Dooper, Maddie Hutchinson and Emily Pietsch ran on the high school team with alumni members Natalie Appleman, Cara Pietsch, Robyn Fries, Charity and Cheyenne Rosypal.

After finishing his 26 Km, Cole Dooper joined Cameron Johnson for the last leg of his 50Km run. Erin Klatt described this act as ‘A Very Heartwarming Moment to Witness!!’

We are very proud of all of our Buck Mountain students past and present!

Thank you for representing the Buck Mountain community so well!!
