CB McMurdo School Hoop Dancers Perform for the Board
A delightful group of CB McMurdo students under the leadership of Mrs. Marie Crier attended the Board meeting to perform the relevant cultural practice of Hoop Dancing.  This art displays a storytelling ritual where during the dance shapes are formed such as a butterfly, eagle, snake and coyote.  These shapes are all created with the hoops which symbolize the never ending circle of life.  A core group of six students started a very successful Hoop Dance group at C.B. McMurdo School this past year.
