Alder Flats School

Alder Flats Elementary students have been busy since the Christmas Break. January saw the return of the One Book One School program that encourages all families to read a common story.

This year the book was Charlotte’s Web and the title was revealed to the students during an assembly that featured a real pig, Hank! The program ran until the end of January and was a great success once again.

By mid February it was time for another special event. Pajama day was held in conjunction with a pancake breakfast followed by an afternoon of outside winter carnival activities. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for the winter carnival, but the warm pajamas and hot, fully loaded strawberries and whipped cream pancakes gave students a full tummy and comfy feeling all day!
