Transportation Services September 2020

The Board of Trustees reviewed transportation services for the 2020-2021 school year. Trustees approved a number of bus route efficiencies and eliminations that will result in cost reductions. Based on these changes average ride times will improve and there will be fewer pickups prior to 7:00 a.m.

Also, in an effort to enhance student safety, Trustees approved a plan to install GPS, interior cameras and stop arms cameras on every bus over the next three years.

Transportation fee rates for the 2020-2021 school year will remain the same as the 2019-2020 school year.

Budget Forecast
The 2019-2020 Approved Budget originally reflected an annual operational deficit of $2 million; but it is anticipated that the actual deficit will be closer to $1.6 million.
