Outdoor Learning- A Growing Start

Expand Image

A group of Clear Vista School students had set their sites on improving the outside area for junior high students.  The students decided to figure out a way to provide an outdoor learning area that would see old picnic tables and garbage cans replaced. The students wrote a proposal that included a budget and applied for a grant to cover the costs.

On June 26, 2018 a ribbon cutting ceremony was held with members of the community who participated in helping the students bring their dream of an outdoor classroom to fruition.

The new outdoor classroom includes, tables, garbage cans and a selection of trees that will eventually provide a shaded area, once the trees have reached maturity.  The outdoor classroom is already being utilized by the school and community members

Thank you to the Clear Vista School student and parent council, Wetaskiwin Regional Public Schools,  WRPS Board of Trustees and the following contributors for their generous donations.
