Co-op Equity Program

WRPS received their first Co-op equity cheques as a result of the Wetaskiwin and Falun Co-op equity program.  Manager Allen Halter was in attendance on June 7, 2018 to present a cheque to school principal's.

Each WRPS school is assigned a Co-op membership number, giving shoppers the option of using their own membership number or applying their purchases to the school of their choice.  Shoppers who do not have their own number can also use one of the school numbers to have their purchases applied at any of the Wetaskiwin or Falun Co-op's.  Throughout the year the equity in the school's accounts build up.  Over $8,100 was presented to the schools with the average school receiving approximately $500.00.

The program started part way through out the 2017 equity calendar.  The Co-op and WRPS are hoping as word of the program gets around and is used for a full year that the amounts will increase for 2018.
